This down-home West Virginia group consists of Chelsea McBee on banjo, Ben Witman on mandolin and Jeremy Rodgers on upright bass. McBee performs everything with her banjo: WV tunes, catchy melodies, sultry tango pieces, and then will even add a bare-boned a cappella song. The group has been playing and performing together for the better part of a year and continues to grow as a group. Their creative interpretation of the traditional tunes along with instrument swapping and medleys make for an entertaining show!

The second in Maria Palermo's Photography 101 course, this class will focus on composition, including the psychology of imagery, the Rule of Thirds, creating balance in your composition, creative use of the elements of composition: leading lines, pattern, framing, light & shadow, viewpoint or angle, and the use of photo fundamentals to create depth or selective focus. A Pittsburgh-based traditional Appalachian old-time string band, the name refers to a particularly beautiful and spooky hollow in the city’s Schenley Park. The band's repertoire includes traditional fiddle tunes, old ballads and “newer” songs from legends like the Carter Family and the Stanley Brothers.
